Nuestra Historia
El Caporal started the way most family restaurants do: one recipe worth sharing and not much else. A pot of menudo on the weekend, a griddle that never cooled, and a handful of neighbors who kept coming back and bringing someone new.
Today you will still find dad in the kitchen before sunrise, making the tamales and keeping the tradition moving. He was inspired by both our mom and dad, and that love is what you taste in every plate.

We push tables together without being asked. Kids, tíos, coworkers — everyone fits.
We feed the same families we see at the market, the school, and the trailhead up on Lake Ave.
